OUR PROGRAMS

 

TTI partners with Northgate Elementary School in Seattle, WA to lead 3rd-5th grade girls in exploring diverse areas of science and engineering through engaging, hands-on activites. TTI mentors visit Northgate Elementary once a month to lead after-school activites. Once a year we host the "Encounter with Engineering" fieldtrip to the University of Washington campus that allows students to see engineers and scientists in action.



 

Monthly Visits

 

​​TTI mentors plan hands-on activities to introduce students to new concepts and fields in science and engineering. Each month the activity is led by a mentor from a different field, giving students a snapshot of how different types of scientists and engineers have fun, important jobs.





Encounter with Engineering

 

Students from Northgate Elementary School visit the University of Washington to tour research labs, participate in hands-on activities, and learn more about college.
