UW ENCOUNTER

WITH ENGINEERING

Students from Northgate Elementary School visit the University of Washington to tour research labs, participate in hands-on activities, and learn more about college.

TTI mentors, who have worked with students throughout the year, plan events at the University of Washington for a spring field-trip. Students get to see where mentors work every day and participate in more hands-on activities. This day of encountering and experiencing engineering encourages them to think about their own futures and what excites them. Last year one of our students wrote on the whiteboard: "I want to be a surgeon when I grow up and I want to go here"!
